Saved books

When you save a book, its catalogue identifier is stored in this browser’s local storage for this site. The shelf does not synchronise across devices or across the other reading domains. Clear it from the shelf page or your browser settings.

Favourite votes

Voting creates an essential first-party cookie containing a random identifier, lasting up to one year. A keyed hash of that identifier is stored with voted book identifiers to limit repeat votes. A separate hourly keyed hash of the connecting IP address limits rapid voting; the application does not save the raw IP in its vote data. Rate-limit entries are removed on a later vote after one hour, and inactive voter records are removed on a later vote after one year.

These controls reduce accidental repeats and basic abuse. They do not prove that every vote came from a different person. Clearing browser cookies can permit another vote. Favourite counts should be read as recorded interactions, not a verified audience count.

News, covers, and external links

Book images are served from this site. Reading a page does not require the browser to contact an image provider, a social widget, or a font service. When you follow an external news or retailer link, that website’s privacy practices apply.

Data this application does not request

There is no account registration, newsletter signup, payment form, or public comment form. The application does not request your name, email address, or payment details, and it does not include advertising trackers or analytics scripts. The hosting provider may keep standard server access logs under its own configuration.

Using the website

The site provides book discovery information and reading activities. Purchases take place with external retailers. Descriptions and cover images remain attributable to their respective owners. For order support, use the retailer through which you purchased the book.
